it's fantastic

it's been sunny. it's been still. trees of all sorts are in full bloom. as the sun sets, the still air is heavy with the scent of blossoms. it's like the whole plant world is overtly having sex. and it's positively glorious. i hope spring is springing where you are...

and to my south african friends, i love fall just as much, so i hope it's glorious too! it's just not overtly having sex like spring is...sorry about that. :-)

wow - that is a comparison that even a writing teacher could approve of!

I love it! What an apt description. : )

All our forsythias did something weird this year...they only bloomed on the bottom 6 inches. Yeah, really weird. All over Ohio. So I missed them, but all our other trees seem to be popping just fine.

You know, autumn I wouldn't mind so much, but CT seems to have changed seasons in 24h!! A little too rapid a transition for my liking!
I'm so happy for your spring tho - it's been a long time coming ...

Oh, dear! I don't quite know what to make of your comparison! :) Remember I'm almost British now! I'm blushing!
You do have to hand it to global warming... worrying as it is! We've been enjoying spring here too!

i'm sorry for being graphic, i couldn't resist. it's totally what it's like...all that pollen....makes me a bit broody. :-)

How true, now if your overtly sexual plants could make their way this way -- it's just really warm here yet and I need sun!

I remember my Mom telling me about the birds and the bees...she didn't mention pollen! Love the forsythia.

spring is definitely sex

summer is languid wanting

fall is crisp and standoffish

winter is frigidity
